Super Simple DIY Pom Pom Decor

I'm not big into super obvious decorations when it comes to holidays. I like something a little fun, a little different and super simple and streamlined. While strolling the aisles of Target, I had a little light bulb go off. I grabbed the heart-shaped box and a few pom pom garlands and got myself home to try out my idea.

Here's how to make this super simple pom pom decor for Valentine's Day or even a cute nursery addition.

1. I grab this white box and the pom pom garland from Target. I used two garlands for this project, so if you opt for the larger box, consider more garlands. You can also grab the loose pom pom from a craft store.

2. If you bought the pom pom garland, snip each pom pom from the string and start tossing them in the box lid. Arrange the colors however you want!

3. That's it. Place it on the mantle or add a hook to the back to hang it on the wall.

I used the lid for this and if want to make sure the pom poms don't fall out, a thin layer of glue brushed on the inside of the lid will do it.

I really wanted to try this project with bouncy balls, but didn't find any at Target that weren't overly cheesy. Thinking I may try those for a project later this year.
I also think filling the box with candy and small trinkets would be cute and the inside of the box would be a fun surprise.
